Maryland Motorcyclist Killed in Rear-End Crash with SUV

According to WJLA.com, a Laurel man was killed on March 15 when he crashed his motorcycle into the rear of a Mercedes SUV that had slowed down to turn into a driveway in Damascus.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. as the SUV and the motorcycle were traveling eastbound on Annapolis Rock Road. As the SUV turned into a driveway, the motorcycle crashed into the back of the SUV.

Police said the 51 year old died on the scene, despite the efforts of emergency personnel, including an off-duty Howard County firefighter who happened to come upon the collision just before Montgomery County Fire & Rescue personnel arrived. The woman driving the SUV and her 14-year-old passenger were not injured in the collision.
