Back injuries and neck injuries can be common injuries seen in a worker’s compensation case. People performing manual labor are commonly affected by this. Watch as attorney David Schloss explains how his experience working with those who suffered from a work injury can help you.

When someone calls me with a new worker’s compensation case, the most common injury I see is usually a back injury or neck injury. And that’s because these are usually people who are performing manual labor, and they’re doing lifting, or pushing, or pulling or stretching and they tweak something in their back or their neck, and so we see that a lot. Hopefully that person has gone to see a good orthopedic surgeon, if not we can give them the names of various orthopedic surgeons who we know accept worker’s compensation cases and who we know have the patient’s best interests at heart, as opposed to perhaps the employer or insurance carriers best interest. But that’s the most common type of injury, someone who has sustained a back injury due to some sort of unusual exertion or tweaking of their back when they’re doing some lifting pushing or pulling.
