A wrong-way driver who struck a man and several parked cars in Arlington has been charged with DUI.

On January 12, a 36-year-old Arlington man was spotted driving the wrong way on North Wilson Boulevard near Clarendon just after 9 p.m. Authorities say that the driver hit four cars with his Mercedes Benz before striking a 33-year-old Washington man.

The pedestrian was taken to George Washington Hospital for the treatment of injuries. The negligent motorist was charged with DUI and DUI refusal.

My Accident was Caused by a Drunk Driver and I Need an Experienced Attorney

Drinking and driving is a problem that has caused growing concern in recent years. Using drugs or drinking alcohol before driving a car is a dangerous game, because these substances impair judgment, slow reaction time, decrease coordination and weaken the senses. If someone gets behind the wheel of a two-ton machine after indulging in alcohol, he or she puts herself and everyone else on the road at risk of a serious or fatal car accident.

Never drink and drive; always call a taxi or a friend. If you drive while intoxicated, you could seriously injure or kill yourself or someone else.

If an intoxicated driver caused your accident, it is important to contact a Washington, D.C., Virginia or Maryland injury attorney who can assist you in recovering compensation for any injuries sustained as a result of the accident.
