A construction worker was killed last month when a concrete wall collapsed at the Maryland Live! construction site in Hanover, Maryland. Another worker suffered injuries in the construction accident, in a report at bizjournals.com.
Rescue workers transported the other injured worker to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where doctors classified his injuries as life-threatening.
At this point, workers and investigators do not know how the 30-foot tall wall fell. Although an inspector from the Maryland Department of Inspections and Permits went to the construction site following the accident and said everything is up to code, investigators from Maryland’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) arrived at the accident site and shut-down work for the day. The Anne Arundel County Fire Chief said details surrounding the fatal accident remain “sketchy.” Reach out to our office today for further details.
