Haley Benjamin is a dedicated personal injury attorney representing clients throughout Northern Virginia. Based in our Virginia office, Ms. Benjamin advocates for individuals who have suffered life-altering injuries, bringing a fresh perspective and a tireless commitment to the pursuit of justice for the firm’s clients.

Ms. Benjamin handles a diverse range of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and workplace injuries. Her approach to litigation is rooted in rigorous preparation and a deep sense of community service, qualities that have defined her career since she first joined Koonz McKenney Johnson & DePaolis LLP.

A Foundation of Advocacy

Ms. Benjamin’s journey with the firm began in early 2024, serving as a Law Clerk while completing her legal studies. This immersive experience allowed her to work alongside some of the region’s most seasoned trial lawyers, gaining invaluable insight into the complexities of personal injury law long before she was formally admitted to the bar.

She earned her Juris Doctor from the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School in 2025. During her time in law school, she was an active member of the George Mason University Civil Rights Law Journal and the Scalia Law Trial Advocacy Association, honing the research and courtroom skills that now serve her clients.

Academic Distinction

Prior to law school, Ms. Benjamin graduated from the University of Virginia, where she was a Sociology Distinguished Major and minored in Chinese Language and Literature. Her academic work was marked by several high-profile honors, including:

  • The Commonwealth Award for Best Undergraduate Paper (2019)
  • Distinguished Major Thesis Honorable Mention Award (2021)

Community & Commitment

A lifelong advocate for others, Haley has a significant background in volunteer work, having served with the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) and the Night Light Cafe. This history of service informs her empathetic approach to legal representation, ensuring that every client feels heard and supported throughout the legal process.

Following her successful passing of the Virginia Bar Exam in 2025, Ms. Benjamin was promoted to Associate Attorney at the firm. She is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
